I’m a junior from Central New York spinning for a national class marching band and an SA1 class winterguard. I just completed my first year of varsity in Dayton, Ohio at WGI. We never made it past prelims, but it’s okay because I got to go to a once in a lifetime opportunity for some people and compete against some amazing guards. Watching the world guards made me really wanna keep spinning after high school, and i deffinatly plan on it. Guard is like another family. Your biggest competitors are actually just your siblings who you have trouble getting along with, but you’ll always support each other in everything they do. The other coaches are the parents who get along with everyone and teahc us to support one another. I met some pretty amazing people this past week and saw the most amazing guards ever, and I hope I get the chance to go again.
